Metering and I/O

Swan 16 Hole 64 Tone Chromatic Harmonica Details

The Swan Super 16/64 Harmonica comes with a silver body with silver-plated slide assembly and double thick reedplates, providing the player with excellent dynamics and reed response. The Swan 16/64 Chromatic is similar in construction and specifications to the Hohner Chromatic model. This harmonica features a 4 octave range, a silver-plated mouthpiece for smooth action and an enclosed stainless steel cover design that provides a warm, resonant tone. A  chromatic harmonica is like having two harmonicas in one! Due to the slide that completely changes the notes. In the rest position (slide not depressed) the harmonica is in the key of" c", then when pushed in, the chromatic is tuned one half step to c#. This allows the chromatic to be played in any major or minor key making it an incredibly versatile instrument. The slid also allows the player to "bend" notes. The chamber of a chromatic harp is also much larger than a diatonic and creates a distinct tone that is both fuller and warmer than the smaller diatonic harmonicas.
